Short description:
A consortium of 5 European Universities are offering master coureses in mathematical modelling. The consortium is coordinated by the University of L'Aquila in Italy (UAQ) and involves other four leading institutions in Europe: Autonomous University of Barcelona in Catalonia (UAB), University of Hamburg in Germany (UHH), Gdansk University of Technology in Poland (GUT), University of Nice - Sophia Antipolis in France (UNSA). The MathMods Master's degree course will be given in four semesters. The language of the whole course will be exclusively English at each of the five universities. Students will also have to attend a local language course during the semester they are spending in each university partner. Several Erasmus Mundus scholarships are offered by the European Commission to non European students. These scholarships amount to a maximum of EUR 42,000.00 to cover the two year expenses and are granted to the most promising applicants. A limited number of scholarships are also available for European students.

Short description:
Erasmus programme is operating between different institutions of higher education in Europe. The scholarship is usually issued for the period of 3-12 months and is eligible for study in the member states of the EU. It is meant for students who themselves come from EU. This scholarship is issued for the purpose of studying for a certain amount time in another EU country after you have been accepted to a university in your own country. The home institution of the student must have been given the European University Charter by the European Commission and must also have a bilateral agreement with an institution in the host country. Information can also be found on the local website of the Socrates National Agency in your own country. It caters not only for students, but also for professors and business staff who want to teach abroad and for university staff who want to be trained abroad.
